Hi everyone! I thought I'd post this porcelain shoe for that Japan lover we all know and love ;)
And of course, everything roses...always helps when it comes to me. I love their beauty and fragrance.
This was packed away by the crystal boxes I opened and remembered I purchased this when my daughter was a baby. I was never a fan of the porcelain shoes per se but this one was different. In fact, I haven't really seen one like it that I can think of. It's marked in red on the bottom with the wreath and a clover inside and Japan underneath. (I just realized why they put a 3 leaf clover instead of a 4 leaf clover. For those of you that may not know, in Japan the #4 is not good and leave it at that). That's for Nippon, 1940's 1950's, hand crafted and painted with gold and pink roses. I am dealing with a lot of Noritake products right now and when I researched, to freshen this mind (tons of work) I was pretty amazed at so much info about that company, so much so that I wouldn't even know what to say. If any one wants to read up on them, here is a link for you ;) http://noritakecollectorsguild.info/ They have a good amount of info there.
The lamp w/ roses and sprays of baby's breath, it's Victorian and I've had this one a long time too! It's called the Queen's Rose pattern.
The tea cup is obvious why I purchased that. Unfortunately, the marking on the bottom can't be read but it looks like a partial number in gold and from the handle, I think it's from Germany. The saucer for it was no where in sight but it still looks great next to my small pitchers.
And the last photo there are a few other things also found up there in the archives ;) Of course, there is that old ashtray with roses....The cobalt vase was given to me as a gift and if I remember correctly, I was told it was Fenton 1930's? I'll post that later by itself so I can show you what happens sometimes when you put something on a fireplace mantel. I got it that way and I'm pretty sure that's how it came to be disfigured.
So, I hope you enjoy a bouquet of roses today, from me to you!!!
Have a beautiful day!

Thanks for the love Japan lover!!! hahaha guess not this one then eh?
You know I have a bit of an aversion to porcelain or glass shoes or bags; they don't sit well with me for some reason :(
Having said that , yeah!, I would love to have this. It has that quirky Japanese styling, tipped up toe and bevelled heel. Cooool. And I adore the roses!! It's not at all kitsch, just unusual, stylish and of course, beautifully made. Winner.
The German cup is pretty cute; love the daisy base and the handle!
Have you posted the other stuff in photo 4? Have I been asleep? (yes - 62 hours work in 7 days does that...)
Hi Karen, apologies it took me so long to get back to you on this...I've been a busy bee too, but not that many hours in week. You must be exhausted! I was hoping you'd like that shoe for the same reason I did...It's just different. I bought the cup to sell and when I brought it home, the saucer didn't match like I thought it did, so...I'll probably keep it around a minute for the roses, those are really pretty, I think I already said that...lots of work and so very hot here, makes one kinda punchy. (Is that a word?) haha The others I have not yet posted. That ashtray you see there, with the rose is from Japan too. That I've had forever along with the cobalt vase and a couple others. I'll get to 'em.
Thanks for the love and comment! xoxo
Thanks to all of you that stopped by and for the loves...

Appreciation to all!
This reminds me of decorating a Christmas tree in some ways. Each year you open the boxes and even though you've had them for years, they still make you happy. :)
Awe, thanks for the loves and comments on this! She's still with me, sitting right here. I've had this one for about 40 years now! A few years back, I found a whole box of lamps just sitting there waiting for the trash truck! Beat him to it!!! And right when the pandemic started running rampid, someone set out a floor lamp and nope, I couldn't resist, so it's with me too!!!
