This is my collection of Glass Bird Bowls. I expect they are Murano, and they have all been bought in Charity Shops. The purple one has bubbles in it. My favourite is the blue one. I like the blue colour!

Adele the two orange are definitely Japanese, not Murano.
I am not sure who made the other two and it's a good chance they are Murano.
They are neato pieces; I love a glass swan!

Thank you very much racer4four. I had no idea these swans were made in Japan! What is it that distinguishes them as Japanese?

Orange was rarely used by Murano glass artists during this period (still isn't).
The bases of these Japanese glass pieces are generally fairly hastily finished -you may see a matte surface still with dips in it, or a moulded birdbath base.
The other reason is: I have some of these with a Made in Japan sticker lol!

Thanks Racer4four, that makes sense as the bases are quite basic, and even look a bit chipped! And they are very orange!
