    This was my Grandmother's sewing machine. It's a 1901 Singer. It's been through some hard times, but I love it and hope to restore it soon.

      Well, you can't see it when it's open, but the top is in bad shape. It needs refinishing. But otherwise it is in good shape.

      Lovely to have a machine that's been in your family :) It's a model 66 with Egyptian or "Lotus" decals.

      Read up on the best ways to clean the head.hot soapy water is not ideal nor are solvents or abrasive cleaning agents, I think furniture cleaning oil is the best but do some research first. The chrome bits that you can remove will come up well with baking soda and hot water.
