This bottle is a most unusual color of green. When I bought it I thought it probably wasn't jade because the green had too much blue in it.
Simply because of the color, I am thinking it's probably not jade. I tried to scratch the bottom with a steel knife (not recommended!) and it didn't make a scratch, so that rules out serpentine and soapstone.
My best guess is that it's bluish green aventurine quartz, but the specific gravity is a little too high - at 2.75. It could be prehnite but the luster of the stone seems to point to aventurine to me. I am using my kitchen scale for the specific gravity which may not be too accurate.
It has a lovely basket of flowers carved on the front, the reverse is blank.
It's well hollowed and measures 5.8cm tall without the top. Has a rose quartz top.
