This is the 2nd item,a fantastic religious relic made of baroque silver and features 5 cabacon chrysophase stones.
Found in box of stuff and I find the Wedgewood brooch and this super relic.
From the frontal picture there is a glass covering golden threads,4 small pears, and the lettering "S Ant M Claret".
The .800 silver shows delicate filigree work in a floral motif.
The chrysophase cabachon stones have beautiful green luster
The reliquary contains something from Saint Anthony Mary Claret Archbishop of Cuba, and personal priest of Queen Isabella II.
The back show some gilt work remove the covering of theca
to see the red wax seal over the red tread.Still intact the relic is undisturbed.
I have no experience with this at all,so my question is do you think it is legitimate or faked.
A place to get this relic authenticated would also be helpful.
Any help is kindly appreciated.
That is amazing. Historic and beautiful.
Thanks for the love RACER4FOUR,I usually sell off some item I acquire but this artifact should be respected for its content and religious standing.
I have not seen many of these religaury item made with jeweled emblishment, but I understand that Nuns of some orders use to make these vessels more elaborate by adding precious or semi precious stones like this particular item.
