      Rubic Cube before they worked out the bugs.

      These were intended as candle holders, as mentioned. They can be found in varying degrees of craftsmanship as they were mostly done as "home industry" and sold at Renaissance Fairs and the like. There are more professional, even signed, varieties.

      They started showing up in the early 1970s and are likely still being made.
