Thanks for your comments. Here’s the first one.
The top chest is a H. Gerstner & Sons, Style #41, Market Test Chest manufactured in 1912 – 1913. This is a unit they made to test the market for design acceptability prior to officially releasing the style in company brochures and for production. It has feature differences from the officially released units in 1914.
They started manufacturing portable tool cases in 1906. Their first chest release was in 1910 with a 4 drawer Style #14.
Tomorrow I’ll post the next chest, on the left side, under this one. It’s another Gerstner……Ted

Thanks, but please don't cut us short on pix.. You can poste 4 & we have already seen the 3rd one here. I've rarely seen these when I lived in civilization & always had to be pulled away, drooling. I worked as a kid in a machine shop in the early 60's & some of the machinists had these just for fine measuring instruments like micrometers. I found plans & was going to built it some yrs. back. The wood grain seems to always be had selected.

Very nice, I always liked these boxes I worked as a mold maker from the early 70s to 2005 a dew mold makers used these but most of the "woodies" wood model makers used them a trade that is about gone,
      thanks for the post.
