I got this necklace today from one charity shop. I'm intrigued by the material, it is not plastic, it feels just too cold. I ruled out glass, it remains cold longer on my skin, than glass. Plus the beads haven't got air bubbles and seam lines, but I can see under magnifying lens lots of like tiny threads. The string between the beads is stained with green blotches, I suspect the beads were enhanced, dyed. The beads are small, around 4 mm in diameter, who would take so much effort to make such tiny, evenly shaped beads from a stone?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Yep, dyed quarz.
These beads were made by machine, probably in China.
Thank you Davyd, Bonnie and Pebble for the info/love clicks!!! Your comments are logical :)

Thank you Pascale, you narrowed it down : aventurine is a form of quartz. And it truly looks the same, only the diameter is different!!! :)
