Wood carved display stand with carvings of elephants on the bottom. I don't understand why it is on the underside.
It is 5" across and about 1" tall with 3 feet.
I thought it might have came into GW with the vase I posted so I tried and ended up scratching it even more.
If anyone knows why the carving is on the underside I would love to hear about it.
Thanks for looking!!
Thank you for the love Scott.
beautiful old stand!! i think the relief on the bottom indicates that it is teak from Thailand.
It's really a garden gazebo for tiny, little, people. They walk under the gazebo and stare up at the carvings, marvelling at the elephants and workers. When they have finished, they climb the outside and curl up in the little rests and sleep in the sun.
I think.
It`s three-dimensional item,right ?
Karen, Bahahahaha, I'm crying here. Best answer ever. I can't touch that! :):)
But, I bet those micro people Rose or Katherine posted must be missing their Gazebo.;)
ho2, still can't find it but thank you for the love and input.
Ivan, yes I would say it is 3D.
Thanks for the loves: Tassie, fort, Nevada, ho2, Mike, Adele, Martika, Karen, Thomas, mani, aura, sheve and surf. Appreciate it very much. :)
ah! the gazebo! i'm a forgetful pothead, and cw posts is what i do after partaking in my daily pleasure!
ho2, that stuff made me paranoid and sleepy 30 years ago. I don't think you ever sleep so I'm wondering if I should give it another go? :)
Thanks for the loves Roy and SEAN. :)
Saw this about a day ago not knowing who's it was. This is a very nice example with an elephant theme of a good chinese base. I am still looking for a good display stand or base like the one glassiegirl shows a lot of her beautiful glass. She ususally uses the same one which makes me insanely jealous !
