I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this on eBay, I watched it for several days and I got it at a very good price. I have never seen anything like this from Bernard Instone. I knew he made spoons and knives and many other things, this charm is a first for me.
As you can see the charm is finely detailed. The face resembles a pocket watch and the the hands actually move. The back appears to be a locket, but when you open it, it resembles the workings of a pocket watch, in great detail. It is marked B.I Made in England and silver, I imagine it was one of his earlier pieces.
