Doing my homework on new find at Goodwill today. Nothing in Google images yet that looks similar. The side seams on four parts of the dish at the crystal part. Lip, pedestal, stem, etc but still can't. Date or find maker. Very grateful for the great glass info.
From the folks on C.W. Still have a lot of work to go. Thanks for looking.

Could it be Crystal D'Arques? I was looking at 4 water goblets just this evening that I own that look very similar in colour and pattern, and they come in a box and are labelled Crystal D'Arque, Paris. I think the pattern of mine is Beau Champ.

this form is generally known as an ivy ball vase; but not sure who made this one.

Thanks Tall Cakes! Ivy ball vase, very cool. I have never heard of a compote dish before.

I believe the maker of this ivy ball vase is Cambridge Glass. The pattern is called Mount Vernon. I found it pictured in milk glass. The milk glass one is circa 1953/1954. It is listed as a 5 3/4 inch ivy bowl.

Wow !! Thanks so much Time Traveler!

You're welcome. Were you able to find it pictured online? Also, Cambridge made colored glass in red. They referred to this shade of red as "carmen." Perhaps this piece is in carmen?

TimeTraveller: Your comments led me right to exact vases in milk glass and clear but no red exact match? No doubt it is Mount Vernon though! Will try Carmen next.

TimeTravellar: Should have checked with the color Carmen in the search before I responded! It took two minutes to find out why there is no Carmen color Mount Vernon pattern to be found! N.D G. A. article on Cambridge glass company spells it out! Thanks again!! Even I get it now!
