    Looking for someone to verify this piece. I had at one point seen another one on ebay. I thought it was Japanese, and a teapot....early 1800's? Not incredibly valuable. Nice little piece on about 6-8 inches. Thanks for the help!

      if it was made to be used, i wonder why the branch-shaped iron? seems more decorative than functional.

      I believe it was made to be used. I have seen others. But I cannot remember what they called them or what they were used for. I think it was for steeping tea.
