I found this at the dump where I work and thought it was a cool WW2 painting and by chance I opened up the back to find a letter by the artist he was a Ristitsh J. Ratko lieutenant of the army H. R.V king peter II
It's a thank you letter to the brave and great army of Great Britain for liberating the army of king peter II.
It's a really interesting letter.
Ratko painted it for Field Marshall Montgomery
Has a white star on it but looks more like a Tiger tank.
Whoever threw it away could NOT have known the significance of this painting! It made me cry.
King Perter was merely a boy in WWII.
Peter...
I am Croatian, too!

What a great thing to find! I have goosebumps.
Croatia had maybe the largest number of volunteers for the Waffen SS of any country but they were fighting for an independent Croatia & against the communists.
WOW!! What a beautiful letter and extraordinary find. Thanks so much for sharing it.
