These were made in the late 60's and into the 70's. During that time there were many import companies being set up especially coming in from Italy. A lot of the plaster statues were made into the 80's and the quality was poor to very good. The base was also made of composition but with a real marble Italian top. Sometimes the bases were 24 inches wide of real quality black Italian marble. Only bought one of them just for the rare black good marble. I seen a lot of them into the 90's at garage sales. When the import business was strongest there were many shops set up just to carry this import trade. A lot of the lamps were also made in California which was a big part of this export business. Many were sent over from italy where yours probably came from. They used a lot of classical greek poses. Have added to my collections where there are others to see. Phil.
