This Brumby Rocker is from the 1890's and is still in great condition after being restored by The Brumby Chair Company. Having launched a restoration business in addition to still producing luxury rocking chairs that last for generations, the family is making sure these family heirlooms can be enjoyed for another 100 years. Made of solid Appalachian Red Oak, it dates back to the beginning of the family owned factory and was produced from 1890-1900 as you can tell by the shape of the finials. It's seat are double woven herringbone pattern with 6mm binder can from the orient. The Brumby Chair Company went on to product many other styles of rocking chairs in its 140 year history, and still produces the famed Brumby Jumbo Rocker in Marietta, GA that can be found at the White House, luxury resorts and homes throughout the United States.
