Found this in the salvation army jewlery case. I think it is beautiful. Bad thing i dont know alot about it. Even if it is just priceless i find it intriguing and unique. I have looked for similar online and havent found one yet. If anyone can help me to get a history or what type of cameo this is would greatly be appreciated.

Cameos are made of carved shell. I think the bit on the front is supposed to represent a dress clip. Usually, those have a diamond inside. Your pendant might also be gold filled. Take it to a jeweler and ask.

      A very nice find!

Love it. I wonder if the gent's name is on the back of the photo?

      Very sweet!
Rare to find a cameo locket pendant, they usually are brooches :-)

Judging from the length of the gent's collar and his overall appearance, that photo was taken many decades ago. Perhaps late 1920s. Note the length of Ramon Novarro's shirt collar, pictured on this page:

I'd say, 1930s. A good find, look forward to seeing more of your posts.

My guess is that he is European, too.

The cameo was cut in helmet shell, almost certainly in Italy. Cameo beauties tend to be behind the times, so this rather art nouveau type was popular in the 1930s. When a cameo figure itself has been adorned with jewelry of her own, she is said to be en habillé, basically, dressed. Some do have actual diamonds in their own pendants; some have rhinestones. The way this one is set & the fact that it is so tiny is actually encouraging - although no guarantee - for diamond.
