Hey everyone.
Talking about a pottery planter today on CW reminded me of this one that I have which is 17" long x 5" high roughly.
And just a couple of extra pictures of pots and a tiny piece of my out of control garden as well.
Volunteers welcome to help with the weeding!!!
The design is similar in many ways to the oddball planter we've been look at. I guess that designer's idea of a log was quite different, lol!
I don't think the colour does that one any favours either!!!!
LMAO!!! :-))))
This one is tasteful Judy......
I love the koala planter too. it's good to see your garden, like mine, is used as an overflow for not so precious things.
Thanks Karen. It is good to have things outside and in the garden I think! Always looking for rusty bits and pieces to display and have a few of the old garden seats scattered about the place, which come in handy to have a breather on when I have been working out there.
As messy as it is at the moment, I do love my gardening!!
Bonnie, Nevada, Mike and Karen, thanks everyone for the love!!
Lovely! And your garden too!
Much than volunteers for the weeding, I need slaves! (of course they'd be treated as well as my doggies!) ;-)
Hubby isn't willing, and my courage is barely enough for mowing the lawn...
Gave me an idea for some drift wood pieces planter will have to wait though snowed here already lol great pics
Thanks Thomas, glad you like it!
Thanks PascaleLOL, I'm sure you would spoil your slaves!! It does sound like a good idea though!
My Hubby is willing to do any of the hard digging holes and that sort of stuff but not the everyday maintenance gardening......he would probably be spraying weed killer on everything.......trust me this has happened before LOL.
Can't complain......he does other stuff.....like make my coffee all day every day!! and I love my coffee.......
Hi Caperkid.....drift wood makes great things.....look forward to seeing when you can get to it......stay warm and thanks!
great garden potential tas..i grow several in door plants at home too but mostly airplant/creepers. cactus really suita ur garden and its is really low maintenance too:)
Judy, mine too prefers digging holes, as the dogs do...
Some years ago he wanted a kitchen garden... built around the well 4 squares from wood planks, we filled them with tons of bags of humus and compost... it was constant dispute about watering... took several hours to plant some salads and tomatoes...
4 years later he prefer hiking, so the squares are ruins, but the soil is so fertilised we have arborescent weeds!!! Lol!
Judy,
I love your garden and all the very cool and interesting items you have in it. Lovely!!!
Thanks Fleafinder! There are lots of plants I would really like to have in the ground here but have to make sure they are frost hardy........and nowadays with the way every drop of water is charged for they have to be waterwise as well!!
Haha Pascale, I can relate to that too!!! The only things I got to grow successfully were Zucchini.....you can only do so much with them lol, tomatoes which all ripened at the same time so, not being into preserving, most of them were given away, and of course strawberries.......we didn't know they should be netted and the birds had a feast!!!
So....I planted one apricot tree .........Yay it grew, I pruned it as best I could every year, it is quite large now......last year we picked 331 then gave up counting and picked 10kg....and this was in a 2 week harvest period........the neighbours love us!!
Thank you Scott, I think it is nice to be able to see things poking out from behind plants.....the garden goes all the way up to that grey brick wall so I have tried to make a sort of walkway up and around a big tree that is up there and to have interesting things in the garden to see along the walk.......
Oh, did you spot the old concrete rabbit.....just behind the post where the anchor is.....I forgot he was there and didn't realize he just made the picture!!
