I bought this recently. I have no idea where it's from or when it was made, I just liked it. It's metal and once had hinges. It has a wooden interior which was lined with red fabric at some point. It measures about 5"x3"
I'd love to have an idea of where it was made and if it has any age to it. Any suggestions please?

Me too, when I first saw it I thought it was wooden , only when I picked it up did I realise it was metal.
Looking forward to finding someone who knows what it might have been for!
