We are well and truly into Autumn now so opportunities for photography in natural light are few. I can see how many collectors develop keen interests in lighting and photography. I can't pretend to be there yet!
This is a non-iridescent Kralik canes décor from France. Why not marked, I don't know - maybe it wasn't initially sold for the export market, but unmarked French pieces aren't unheard of.
The canes are the same as seen in Iris décor pieces.
This is 22.5cm high.
I think this is gorgeous, Ian. Well done. And just by the way non of my Czech pieces bought in/from France are marked.
Same here.... I've never received a signed Kralik piece from France. I did get a signed Kralik piece I bought from the Isle of Man once though???
Very nice but I'll say it again..these are NEVER seen here where I live.
So, I'm very thankful your are all posting your's in case one shows up where I shop. :)
Honestly, because Kralik, & Loetz are so rare here I think most would pass them over.
Well a girl can hope. :)
Would love to know more about this color and pattern. I'm trying to further build a collection of such. Thanks for showing.
You could search on here under canes, caned, millefiori, Iris - some of the collectors have lots more special ones. Look on http://www.kralik.com for lots of examples under ball vases, Deco shapes and millefiori. Apart from unusual shapes, satin finish and some rarer colour combos as well as labelled examples are sought after.
