It's beautiful, TallCakes. [;>)
Another glorious cake stand. Someone, or two, have really looked after it for many years. Nice to think that it's with you now.

I think many families prized their cake stands and lovingly cared for them...

I wish I had your knowledge on these. I come across glass cake-stands often a thrift stores but never pick them up because I cannot tell what is new and what is old.
thank you SpiritBear : ) It always excites me to see a cake stand in a local auction, but that doesn't seem to happen very often. Sometime wish I lived in one of the areas of the country where EAPG was made, as I image that the glass must be most plentiful there. But then it's now been shipped around the world...
thank you Nicefice : )
I'd think the East Coast, where most of the U.S. glass was made. It moved to the mid-west for bottles, though, but this kind of glass is out of my range knowledge.
Much of the EAPG back in the day came from Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania and West Virginia among other states. Many drawn by great deals on natural gas at the time.
