Native American hammer head. Found in 1976, on a private ranch in Valencia County, NM. Shaped from lava rock, which is abundant in the area, it weighs 4.02 Lbs and measures 6.75" x4.0" x 2.5". The grove is cut all the way around. It was mostly exposed when found. The white mineralization is where is where it was in contact with the ground. Can anyone tell me anything about this?
More a weapon. Didn't have to be sharp to kill something.
