    Found in the garden and was looking for mabey some helpful hints to its kind... it doesn't stick to a magnet, and the only inscription on it is the letter L on the back decorative side on the locking loop part...any ideas?

      Your lock was made by Mallory, Wheeler & Co. (often identified simply by "MW" on the body or keyhole cover) 1865-1910. They were company considered one of the largest in America by 1851. In 1873, the company is reported to have produced 600,000 locks.*
