Found amongst my late mother's jewellery, have no idea where it came from or its history. Sorry, can't load photo right way round, rotate 90 degrees clockwise to see the Buddha. Thanks in advance, Jes.

Can you post a photo the back and the mark? One photo isn't enough. Thanks. There is an EDIT option on the page. We must download the photo to our own computers in order to rotate it. You must have the photo the right way around in your camera or on your pc before it will load properly here.
Thanks Efesgirl, that was quick! I'm afraid Big Sister has the brooch in her possession at the moment and this photo is the only one I have. I'll direct her to this site so she to see if she can provide any further info. Jes
Hi Efesgirl, may I post a link to yours about how to post straight up photos [;>)
Thank you!
kinjeo1 - didn't mean to ignore you. Your brooch is just sumptuous. A wonderful piece to have from your Mum. Would you tell me the dimensions please.
Gillian, thanks for your comments. As I said above, Big Sister has the brooch so I await her participation in this discussion. Jes.
The brooch is 3.5 cm (1.5 inches) along each edge. There is no visible mark on it that I can see. It's made of 14 carat gold. If you look closely, as well as the Buddha figure, there is a kneeling figure on either side. Also on the back there is an oval space for a photo, which makes me wonder whether it might have originally been a locket?I've taken some more pics but I can't see how to upload them.
Thanks Jewelnut (aka Big Sister). Email me the photos and I'll upload them.
Woooh! thrilled to see more pics of this beautiful repoussé work!
Will do now!
There should be an edit button on your original post so that you can remove and replace pictures, or remove one and add one etc.
Extra photos now added.
Interesting that the pictures have come out the wrong way round again - I definitely sent them the right way!
