I knew it was going to be a good day when I found this pearl brooch among other costume brooches. Measures an inch across and is 4.51 grams (including the pearls). I looked online and nobody wears these anymore - the design is outdated - so I will probably scrap it and keep the pearls for any future repair jobs.
The 18K gold bracelet was found at a different flea market. It is broken, so going for scrap. Weighs 5.34 grams.
My outlay for these two items was 12 Euro ($13.43) but my return will be well over the 100 Euro ($113.00) mark.
:-)))))))
Thanks for stopping by.

Haha Thomas! Sometimes, that is exactly what it is.
It's really a nice pin Bonnie. Except for broken chains I have a hard time with scraping little works of art. :)
Nice finds Bonnie!!! Have to agree with Mike here about the brooch.......! :-))
It's so beautiful, regardless is the design outdated or not... I'm sure some collector would buy it for above the scrap price if you would sell it on ebay or elsewhere...
Hey guys - I thought about it. I checked the local listings on the Marktplaats (Marketplace) here in Europe and there was no interest shown in the gold brooches already listed there. Pearls are for June, my birth month, but this is something I wouldn't even wear. The scrap price is in the neighborhood of $60, and I don't think anyone would pay that for the brooch. I'm going to Geri on Tuesday so I will get her opinion on it, too.
