    This is one of two folding chairs that belonged to my husbands Great Aunt.
    He recently acquired them and we can't find any visible marking's to help identify the manufacturer, or the approximate year they may have been made. I think they may be Victorian. The arm rests feel like they may contain a type of bean. There are eight spindles on the lower back of the chair. The inside top of the back rest looks kind of like a sunrise
    They do need some tlc, but they are in pretty good condition. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanx :)

      I think they would be Victorian, late Victorian and they are called 'deck chairs'...the 'bean' in the arm rests probably is dried out straw you can feel....hope this helps a bit ...:-)
