So the clasp tells me this is a vintage necklace, multi-strand small beads. I wondered if it might be Native American made of trade beads? Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Pretty, but not Native American and not trade beads. Trade bead necklaces also have very simple clasps or no clasp. I think this is a mid-century Czech seed bead necklace.

Thanks, valentino, I wasn't sure, saw some on eBay which looked like this and called themselves Native American trade bead necklaces. The beads feel and look like old beads, and I've seen designs like these on moccasins, or so I thought. :)
Thanks, Bonnie, hmm. It has a folk art feel, if you know what I mean.
Yes, I do know what you mean.
katherine, your instinct is right about folk art, I would call the necklace "bohemian"

Davy, yes, the beads are soft and the work is very carefully done, which is why I thought possibly Native American since they are known for the quality of their bead work. Bohemian does make a lot of sense, I'll look into it, thanks for the suggestion! :)
