Hello everyone.
Just a little curiosity to show you. Bought in 2009 from local antique shop.
Made from white metal, without maker's marks or metal identity.
Measures without the bale , 1" x 3/4 " with a nice floral decoration on the front.
The box opens by pushing the knob, which reveals an item which looks a bit like a butterfly. This "winged object"comes out to reveal a pad on it's back with a rather worn monogram.......I can only imagine that this monogram was stamped on to letters or envelopes .......
We put a little bit of ink on the stamp to get an image of the monogram.......
The holder brooch is not original to the fob, it was one found at a later date and works quite well with it I think, but the fob would look just as good attached to a pocketwatch chain!!
