On days of antiquing and flea finding there s bound to be some good and bad days. You know its a bad find when you bring home the plate and your family members give you a wad-the-heck-is-wrong with you look. And from the corner you hear your husband says "Eeek! why is the plate dirty?"

This is a jing de zhen plate of supposedly a dog. The jing de zhen ware has its history that dates back all the way to the 14th century but this was probably made in the early 20th century(1930s) as it has english words. i couldnt see the dog at the shop but thought i ll jus grab it and survey it at home. Still when i went home, i cant see the dog. Do you?

This is the history of jingdezhen ware on wiki

    Have a great day everybody.

      Sorry I can't see a dog.
    2. jscott0363 jscott0363, 8 years ago
Oh, I most definitely see the dog. He has curly ears like a cocker spaniel, but his nose appears a bit longer than a cocker spaniel. I can also easily make out his legs as well.

I looked at the second pic first after reading the 1st few comments, on my cell that I must have fat fingered. The power of suggestion is very strong because I thought I made out a profile face on the right. Looking at your "tips" I see the dog but isn't his head a bit large for the body? Maybe there is another something on the right? LOL but it's a keeper. Great conversation piece at least. :) Love it!!
