Hi all, I'm so excited about the new photo I got for this vase I just had to show it off! ;)))
It's a 1950's Royal Bavaria Porzellan KPM Vase. South Germany. White clay, matte finish with tons of texture. Almost 8" tall.
I am loving this new background I got from a design shop that does floors, walls and trim. I actually wanted a different one that I offered to pay the owner for but he wouldn't sell it to me. Instead, he generously gave me this one...how awesome is that?! I would love to tell you that all my photos come out this well, but not yet. In fact, right after these photos, I took some of a couple other vases and I honestly have no idea why, but the camera focused on the texture of the background instead of the vases! Same setting, same distance...everything except the same subject.
Oh well, I'm plugging away!
Gotta run but I will be back in a bit ;)
Thanks for understanding and Enjoy.
Really very nice!!!! That's the kind of shop owner we all like to visit. A selfless act of kindness.
Like a magazine Sue! I love these all white RBP vases and they look great alone or together. I have never bought one for there danger lurks....
Your pictures came out great Share... the background compliments your lovely vase beautifully!
Mr J, thank you so much for such a great compliment! I really do get to know most of my customers, they each get top priority and service and I love it! After all, they are receiving something I've cherished, right?!
Thanks Karen! I get it! I have seen a "group" of these, all white and they are amazing!!! I know you and you just can't do that missy, your whole house will be white! lol Last week I was at a thrift and saw a beautiful one there, got excited and almost dropped it when I saw what they wanted for it! More than I would even sell it for!!! Thrifts are almost all on their way out for me, I'm pretty sure they all sell on-line now too! Thank you for the great compliment, as always!!!
Rick, thank you! Funny thing is, so far I've only gotten a few good photos of other things. I'm having some difficulties with the camera choosing to focus on the grain of the wood instead of the subject! I'll get it tho. Planning to take a class Canon offers, I don't thing anywhere else would have a better class than the maker of the camera itself. My only reserve is that they'll leave me hanging so I'd have to take another and so on. I'll get 'er done! Thanks again!
Thanks to all for stopping by and putting up with my fishing for a compliment... You have no idea how many photos I delete per day! Your stopping in really helps me to keep going! ;)
