Southerner…
(23 items)
Hi All,
I have had so much luck in learning the truth from this blog that I thought I would try it again.. I hope this works... Any info you may have is greatly appreciated.
I picked up what I thought was an early printing (stated Fourth) of "To Kill A Mockingbird".
After looking at it closely and comparing it to other confirmed copies I have found that this book doesn't match ANY others that I can find..
Issues:
Hardcover in Blue Cloth... NO other early copies are blue that I could find
No Publisher Name Anywhere...No name on spine, Page is blank where other copies have the publisher name and info
Pages are so thin you can see through them...
Print on Copywright Page as well as Title Page is crooked...slants...
If anyone knows about these early editions and have information that may help I would really appreciate it.
Thanks so much!!
Interesting! The jacket looks a bit wider than the hard cover. Does it fit 100%? Could it have been replaced with an older dust jacket?
Actually it fits very snug. I took it off for the pic and had to be very careful. It looks like it has never been taken off before.
The book pages show age but the outside cover looks like it has never been exposed before.
I'm stumped.
