Just finished the bottom on buffet cabinet
Oh here's a pic of the back if it can help determinethe age
Now paint or stain would be a snap

From what I see it looks to be 1890s- 1910s.
It is empire style. Do you have the bottom doors?
Add some pictures once you finalize the refinish (I wouldn't paint it).
