    It all my time hunting and collecting pottery I have never came across a Cabat piece until this past week... the back roads of NC was so worth the trip ;)

    Rose Cabat
    1914-2015
    Carved designs - hope you are able to see in pic#1 and pic#
    no need to explain that bright orange and green glaze...it's powerful!

    Lidded Bowl
    probably from the 1950s or early 60's

    Sitting on a bottom shelf all alone! Sad!
    Told my daughter to grab that for me and she said "that thing" as I pointed to it. The look on her face was worth a hell of a lot more than I paid for this! Lol

    So on the ride home I had her google Rose and Erni Cabat biography and some of the prices she seen just amazed her. She still thought it was ugly.....

    Not in perfect condition a couple of glaze loss spots around that rim of the bowl where over the years that lid has been put on and off. To be expected in a piece shaped like this with a lid.
