This bowl by Rindskopf was created before WWI. It heasures approximately 5" in height and 6" in diameter. The glass is a pink/lavender color with an applied metallic iridescence. The rim is polished and crimped. The pontil mark on the base has been polished to some degree. The distinguishing feature is the hexagonal honeycomb optical pattern on the inside surfaces of the vase. The exterior is smooth.
What a gorgeous example! I love this decor. I have a bowl in the same shape but in a deep peach, but I love the pink! Your bowl also has a really lovely mottling to the iridescence - beautiful!
Michelle, I see we have similar tastes and a deep appreciation for Rindskopf - I love your amber honeycomb vase! - http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/122425-mothers-day-surprise-a-rindskopf-deep
beyemvey, I think we do! Rindskopf is a major area of collecting for me; I am always on the hunt. :) You have quite a few beautiful examples; I am glad you have been posting them for all to see!
This has three elements that I love Bey; a great color, nice textured surface and that wonderful crimped rim... Beautiful!
Thanks Rick! You and Gloria have a fantastic collection.
Cheers,
Bob
Thanks Bob, as do you!
