A really lovely Loetz Cobalt "Norma" Inkwell. I don't usually collect inkwells, but when I saw this I had to have it. Cobalt ground with a thick, opaque, highly iridescent finish silver/gold finish. Jugendstil style copper collar and hinge. This piece is missing the inkwell liner, but fortunately replacements are fairly easy to find. 2.5" tall. 4.5" across base. PN unknown. Circa 1900.
I'm sure this is a great piece, (my screen is now dark and giving me probs). I just can't see the detail. I love those times of getting something "different", it's always fun to start collecting new things and at least this is small enough that you don't have to get rid of anything for it to fit, right?
I can ALWAYS find room for more goodies! LOL
Yes, this one is an example of "Norma" which is pretty rare as far as Loetz inkwells go! Great piece!
Thanks, Deb!
