I found this today in a charity shop...
A horse hoof snuff box I think.
Looks like a silver top but I can't see any hallmarks
The inscription on the top reads
From R Bonnick
To The Right Hon. Lord Suffield
As a small token in memory of the favourite grey horse St Lawrence
Any info, opinions on this item would be appreciated.
I bought it as I like anything slightly odd or unusual

Let it Here be Known, that I award this a "LUV" because of the top & it's engraving. The farrier was a bit off angle trimming & did a lousy shoe fitting. "And that's all I have to say about that". LOL !
What a wonderful find!!! and in a charity shop!!! Well done, it is fantastic......and you have 2 names to research now as well as the horse's name!!!! I love to find things that have names so the history can be reseached........
Wow! A super find! I always wanted one, but they sell pretty high...

Yeah but - it's his favorite horse's hoof!
Must have been a miniature horse.
