We suspect it to be an accessoire for a camera, based on the inscription 'DMR PARIS' (https://www.leboncoin.fr/collection/958846000.htm). Perhaps to put a lense in between (instead of the pictured piece of paper)? It clams the piece of paper together with springs, the wheel on the left can be used to turn it around. Any ideas for what it was designed to hold, and what the purpose of it was?
