Two layer glass vase made in Polish glassworks Watra in Tarnow or in Zabkowice,South of Poland.I 've seen two samples and mine has got Zabkowice sticker, whereas another one has got Watra sticker.I can't confirm the attribution. I don't know a designer but it's not by the Drosts.
Good proportions, symetric decorative channels and using two layers of glass - thinner white inside and much thicker in the neck - makes it quite interesting,IMO.
What a very original shape.....I love it.
Peggy, your opinion makes it more valuable to me,thank you :)
impressive design!!
Thanks,SEAN,I'm happy you like it!
Your presence here is invaluable Ivonne - I am only exposed to Zabkowice Glass by your posts and they are always such great pieces.
The internal shape of this is fascinating because the exterior does not clearly show the star. I love the channels and the colour variations.
That is very impressive indeed!!
Thanks,Karen, for your kind words:-).You could meet more Zabkowice glass in Australia and you even weren't be aware of it.This is the link I got from Collectomaniac (thanks,Mike!) in which Beverly Crystal is "disclosed".Think you'll find it interesting
