I've been collecting photographs lately and I recently purchased this one and as you can see I didn't pay much, the leaf collage is by George Nan who had quite a resume in the photography world, first chairman of the V.C.U. School Of Arts Photography and Film department 1969 , he helped launch the M.F.A. Degree Program there in 1978 , most of his photos are in museums or institutions archive collections, the Rochester Institute Of Technology and The Art Institute in Chicago , but the best treat was the paper on the back of his wonderful photo that shows advertisements of times past in detail , hats, garments, shoes and to top it off he signed the photo!

I just saw your post when searching for info on George Nan. His name is on my mom's modeling portfolio pictures from the mid-1960s. I was curious about his work.
