Probably made in the 1930's or 1940's. Can anyone tell me what syle/design this chair is? Belonged to my grandmother. Thanks.

      It is a bergere

I thought bergere chairs had seat cushions though? My grandmother's chair doesn't have any. That's why I"m so confused about it. It doesn't seem to be like any pictures I can find. Why do you think it's a bergere?

Look under bergere in Wikipedia. One of the pictures will show you one that does not have a seat cushion. You can also do a search under vintage Bergere and you will see some without cushions that are very valuable.
