I picked these up at a junk shop yesterday. the girl is very nicely made and painted and the other one is just kind of comical. are these Kokeshi dolls from Japan?

i found out a little about these. they are Kokeshi Bobbleheads. the nice one is signed, but i need to get a better pic of the signature. the other one is a rare Kappa Kokeshi. he is nude w/ a towel in front of him. i'd love to know what the towel says on it!
They are very cute, especially that one with a towel!!! :)
