    A.CHAPMAN, ONEONTA ,NY--- Sweet little person of yore has been to the milliner and bought a delightful hat for her photo She has high black boots with silver tips?? and a well made dress. Her hair rolled up in a net or "snood". No jewelry.
    This would be in the Civil War era.. My grandson collects vintage photography, and now lives with me, giving a hand after work. I am thankful for that AND his collection right here under my nose... This is one of his photos we both love. He has not attempted to remove the residue on the side, and doesn't know what it is.

      Her dress style is odd. It SIDE buttons all the way down to bottom. I haven't see that before.
