Now, I am not too sure about anything, but here is what I believe this is:
This painting was done by a German painter named Hermann Dieste. He was born in Germany (Westfalen). I found some information that he was born in October of 1931. I don't know if he is still alive. He was born the same year my dad was born (but my dad passed away more than 20 years ago).
I would guess that this painting was created in the 60's or 70's.
I bought the painting because I like it.

Mikelv85, you are so correct. When I bought it, I told my husband that I liked it but if he didn't, I would take it back. He liked it too:)
I also like the monochromatic colours. If the same painting was done in a very colourful style, I might have passed on it.
