This diminutive vase stands just 3.5" tall and is about 2" in diameter at the widest point. The shape is similar to the Hurricane glass - a familiar sight at Pat O'Brien's in New Orleans. The amber base glass has a heavy metallic oxide iridescence and a mother of pearl like sheen. The pontil is finished and unusual for WMF, there are the letters M.F. engraved in the polished pontil mark. It was made c. 1930.

Thanks again Malkey & everybody who looked!
What a cute little vase Bob! The finish reminds me a little bit of Loetz.
They were right there with Loetz Silberiris, Steuben Aurene, & Tiffany Favrille :-)
