The vase is roughly gourd shaped with a polished rim and a finished pontil. The surface has the irregular oval dimples characteristic of the Diaspora décor. The surface is shiny, not matte and is a metallic silver/gold with colorful metallic oxide iridescence. It stands about 6" tall and is about 3" in diameter at the widest. c. 1902

It has long been one of my favorites Malkey. I actually found it in a local shop in Virginia Beach.

I love the way each crater catches the light differently and shows varied colors of iridescence. :-)

Hi Michelle - Odd that the genuine Loetz Dispora got less love than the Kralik homage in green :-) Bob
