    This was found hanging on a buddha statue. Strangely the beads were brighter in dark places. I believe they are cat eye beads. It is now hanging on my bag as a lucky charm.

      It looks like a handmade Buddhist prayer beads, what we call JUZU in Japanese.

      Hopefully it was either received or purchased from the owner or maker and not simply taken off the Buddha statue and kept. Call me superstitious, but that's like taking a holy cross found inside a church and keeping it, a sure sign that bad luck will fall upon those who took it.
