Here is a really nice tea cup and saucer, both flawless and so pretty, yet not really my thing. House of Goebel, Bavaria W. Germany. This combo ended up with me deciding to purchase as I know many love these. The other piece, which I figured out what is it used for while researching (it's unmarked) is actually a tea caddy without the top. Still pretty.

Why I posted this is I'd like you to look at the shadows, front and back or top and bottom reflections! I don't even know how this happened but I thought they were pretty amazing by themselves and probably couldn't do that again if I tried.

I hope this has the same effect to you that it did to me! Otherwise, I suppose it's one of those "you had to be there" things.

I'll try to get back later...I've gotta go crawl off this chair! This is the part of aging that's for the birds...I don't even wish it on them!

    Love you all!

Thomas...I definitely know what your saying...makes you think sometimes, "That's not what I saw when I snapped it". I just think this one is so strange because the saucer and the cup have almost a double exposure or something. There are 3 reflections of just that one item. I get the one under it but it's the two above it I don't get. ;) Thanks for the love and comment! Hey, what about Ricki Lee Jones, Chuck E's in Love...and the sound track for Four Brothers (and that movie) are great! I love the 60's and 70's music!

Maybe a reason is the very reflective surface of the table or whatever is it and how the light from the flash bounces off it and creates this shadow on the wall.

Mr J, Thanks so much. I always love reading your comments! I agree, very cool reflections! Thanks

Caper, thank you. When I picked it up I wondered what it was besides being so pretty. It's not a transfer either, all hand done. When I was researching what I thought to be a tea caddy is how I found out that's what it was. haha and mine was not, it is an actual teapot! Finding that out was a real 'Duh" moment!!!

Martika, thank you for the lovely comment! I know that there is a phenomenon that happens with the camera and a plane flying by the moon, seriously, that I read once and this reminded me of it. I doubt it's the same but it's pretty darn interesting. I think you could be right about something to do with the wood table, I just don't know. I got a new lemon oil polish that beats the 'old' one I had hands down!!! I had just used the new one before taking the shot.

      Thanks again!

Rick, I did see it just now! Ours is waaaaayyy better. That one is different, that's for sure, but it's kinda creepy. He put all the sea creatures together that belong together...it's like the dark lagoon! haha Thanks for the link!
