    This is my first post so nice to meet everyone. I don't know very much about this photo but it seems to be one I look at over and over. I think it is her gaze.

      LOOSE tintype with no sign of being cased (size is most likely a little off of the standard "case" sizes) and the hairstyle/ clothing of the woman.

      Welcome to CW Gregory. Hope you post some more pictures. I think she is very lovely - beautiful eyes and mouth. Just wish they were permitted to smile. There's some tartan there - don't know if that is significant.
