I bought this many years ago at an actual antique store. I jumped on it because all the bottles were there, and all the lids fit and matched. There were no cracks or chips in the glass. Some of the silver plate on the caddy itself is gone, but not in noticeable spots. It shined up like a silver dollar, and obviously needs cleaned again.

My great-grandmother had a cruet caddy that was in her china cabinet. Every meal, it was pulled out. My Mom said she and her cousins would spin it around when they were little, it would break, great-grandpa would fix it. By time we came around, it didn't spin anymore. I think G-Gpa wised up and soldered it.

It has 6 bottles, three for liquids and the other three for dry condiments. The bottles are shaped differently, but all of them are shaped the same at the bottom to fit perfectly into the caddy. I love the "hand" shape forming the handle. I've looked all over for another one like it and haven't seen one. It's not marked. If it was, it was worn away.

The pictures aren't the best. I'm afraid to move it out of the china cabinet!

Any ideas from anyone on age or manufacturer?

    Thanks for looking.

Hiya. I just got a Condiment Caddy today. Almost identical to yours.
On the underside of my base it is marked:
      2672
      MF'D & Plated By
      Reed & Barton
So that's your maker. Mine is the same except for the pattern engraved around the center part. Mine is a deeper engraved floral/leaf design. I'd show a pic but can't add one in a reply. My hunt continues for even more info. lol

Oh and my bottles are somewhat different shaped and have a different etch as well.
