Whitall Tatum was one of the earliest glass companies in the USA. The company started in 1806.
This insulator is the Whitall Tatum No 1 which was produced from 1922-1938. The company was purchased by another company after that and production of these insulators ceased.
CD 154 is the style of insulator. Many different companies would make similar models with variations.
Purple is good in insulator collecting. It seems to be a bit more common for Whitall Tatum insulators.

These are really neat! I've seen so many insulators, but never the colored ones like these.

These are so very cool. Have you seen the really large white porcelain ones? I'll see if I can get my friend to take a pic of his...There are some that are unbelievably large, especially when you are used to seeing these. I prefer the ones you have overall.

Thank you very much shareurpassion. I have seen porcelain ones but not a large one. I posted a large glass one 2 days ago.....
