I have been looking for something like this since the first vanity set I bought. Small clocks like these were often part of a vanity set. This one is only 7 inches wide at the base.
Pieces like these are often referred to as Pyralin which was made by DuPont under the DuBarry name. The base on this one has been filled with plaster. They are a bit top heavy and would easily tip over so it would be reasonable to do that. But sadly I can not check to see if this is DuBarry. If not DuBarry it is a competitor's piece also circa 1920s.
A perfect fit.
